Presso la Chiesa Madre di Caccamo concerto di Povia di beneficienza

Nell’ambito dell’iniziativa “Un Mese con Madre Teresa“, organizzata dalla Parrocchia San Giorgio Martire di Caccamo, lunedì 21 novembre alle ore 21:00 avrà luogo il concerto del cantante Povia il cui ricavato andrà devoluto in beneficienza alle suore di Madre Teresa di Palermo.

Breve biografia di Povia:

Giuseppe Povia nasce a Milano il 19 novembre 1972.
Nel 2003 vince la XIV edizione del Premio Città di Recanati (oggi Premio Musicultura) con il brano “Mia sorella” (canzone che tocca il tema dell’anoressia e della bulimia) elogiato da alcuni dei più grandi poeti d’Italia contemporanei come Alda Merini, Fernanda Pivano, Dacia Maraini.
Nel 2005 partecipa, fuori concorso, al Festival di Sanremo con la canzone “I bambini fanno ooh…”. Il brano viene scelto come colonna sonora per “Avamposto 55”. Il pezzo ha superato le 180.000 copie vendute, ricevendo numerosi dischi di platino ed è stato premiato, su indicazione della SIAE e con un riconoscimento speciale da BMG Sony, per aver raggiunto più di 500.000 download digitali. Esce il suo primo Album “Evviva i pazzi…che hanno capito cos’è l’amore” che raggiunge il disco d’oro per le oltre 60 mila copie vendute.
Nel 2006 vince la 56° Edizione del Festival di Sanremo con la canzone “Vorrei avere il becco” e pubblica il secondo Album “I bambini fanno ooh… la storia continua” che raggiunge il disco d’oro per le oltre 45 mila copie vendute.
Nel 2009 arriva 2° alla 59° edizione del Festival di Sanremo con la canzone “Luca era gay” e si aggiudica anche il Premio Sala Stampa Radio Tv. Il 20 febbraio esce il suo quarto Album “Centravanti di mestiere” in contemporanea in Italia, Germania, Francia, Svizzera ed Austria.
Vince, con il brano “Luca era gay”, il premio Mogol per il miglior testo tra le canzoni popolari italiane edite dal 1° gennaio 2008 al 28 febbraio 2009.
Conduce per 13 puntate su Canale Italia la trasmissione “Ho imparato una canzone”.
Nel 2010 partecipa alla 60° edizione del Festival di Sanremo con la canzone “La verità” e pubblica il suo sesto Album, un Ep intitolato “Scacco matto” che riceve il disco d’oro per le oltre 63 mila copie vendute ed oltre 250 mila download digitali.
Nell’ambito dei Wind Music Awards, riceve il premio delle associazioni di categoria Fimi, Pmi e Afi e pubblica il singolo “E non passi”.
Nel 2012 viene pubblicato il suo nuovo lavoro dal titolo “I ‘bambini’ fanno rock”.
Nasce al CMM di Grosseto la prima “Scuola per Cantautori” di cui lui è il Direttore Artistico.
Nel 2013 parte il progetto “Scuole in tour con Povia” che prevede incontri musicali e dibattito su canzoni a tematica sociale rivolto ai ragazzi degli istituti d’istruzione secondaria.
Partecipa come ospite fisso in prima serata su Rai 1 al programma “I Migliori Anni” presentato da Carlo Conti.
Nel 2014 inizia il nuovo tour teatrale dal nome “Tu Povia non lo conosci”.
Ad aprile 2016 esce il doppio Cd dal titolo “NuovoContrordineMondiale” autoprodotto, autodistribuito e a tiratura limitata totalmente libero da multinazionali, grandi distribuzioni e portali digitali.
